Meet the Doctors:

Dr. Tim Weisenberger graduated from Michigan State College of Veterinary Medicine in June of 1991.  After 6 years of working in Michigan’s thumb, Dr. Tim and his then wife moved to Chesaning and purchased the veterinary clinic from Dr. and Mrs. Pearson on April 1, 1997.  Dr. Tim is one of our large animal doctors so he spends most of his day on the road traveling to farms for veterinary calls. In his free time away from the clinic, he has a large beef farm in New Lothrop that he enjoys managing.

Dr. Cindy Weisenberger: Bio coming soon

Dr. Melissa Vermette: The journey to becoming a veterinarian began in the small town of Clio, Michigan at the age of 5, after being tackled by a litter of squirming, snuggly puppies. Since that time, every decision was dedicated to pursuing a career in veterinary medicine.

Dr. Vermette, affectionate known as Dr. V, received a bachelor’s degree of zoology from Michigan State University and obtained her doctorate degree of veterinary medicine from Iowa State University in 2016.  From there, Dr. V headed out west to Southern California and practiced medicine in a corporate setting for roughly 2 years. Missing home, and realizing she wasn’t a big city girl, Dr. V moved back to Michigan to continue her veterinary journey.

She gained 3 years of experience while working at another local clinic, before finding her “family” with Animal Health Care of Chesaning. Dr. V’s true passion is bettering the lives of those without a voice. While she dances to the beat of her own drum, you won’t find a bigger animal lover than Dr. V.  She can’t wait to meet your furry friend!

Dr. Kate Wagnitz: Dr. Kate earned a bachelor’s degree in animal science from Michigan State University in 2017 and her doctorate of veterinary medicine from the Ontario Veterinary College in 2021. Dr. Kate splits her time between caring for small and large animals at Animal Health Care. During her spare time, Dr. Kate enjoys reading and playing French horn.
